Fear, whether it's of criticism, ill health or death lives within us all and it is preventing us from fulfilling our dreams. These are not innate we are taught these fears by other people and our environment. Just as these were taught to us, they can be unlearned. If you are in the business of living life fully and seeing all your dreams come true before your eyes then you're in the right place.
In a recent blog post we discussed the 6 "ghost fears" and how to diagnose which ones are hidden in your subconscious.
The six fears:
Fear of Poverty — “What if I fail or lose everything?”
Fear of Criticism — “What will people think of me?”
Fear of Ill Health — “What if something bad happens to my body?”
Fear of Loss of Love — “What if I’m abandoned or rejected?”
Fear of Old Age — “What if my time is running out?”
Fear of Death — “What if it all ends before I live my purpose?”
If you haven't read it or diagnosed which ones live inside you, go to the article here and get caught up: https://www.naveneshata.com/post/which-of-these-fears-is-holding-you-back-from-your-dreams
Steps to Dismantle Fear
Step 1- Awareness- Identify the “Ghost Fear” Behind Your Resistance.
Ask yourself what fear is present inside me right now?
Example: You keep delaying a project. When you look deeper, you realize it’s not laziness, it’s fear of criticism. You’re afraid people won’t like it. Now you can address the real problem, not the symptom.
Step 2- Rewrite the Story Using Autosuggestion
Autosuggestion means using intentional words to reprogram your subconscious mind. When repeated consistently, your brain starts believing new truths, not old fears.
Choose and write down on paper autosuggestions: that align most with you and your "ghost fear".
Fear of Poverty
Core emotion: Scarcity, insecurity, obsession with losing what you have.
Goal: Cultivate abundance mindset and faith in your ability to create.
Autosuggestions:
"There are opportunities to make money all around me"
"No matter how much money I make, I will make do with what I have"
"I know how to create value and money is drawn to me"
"I am abundant and abundance is my natural state"
Fear of Criticism
Core emotion: Shame, worry about others’ opinions, perfectionism.
Goal: Reclaim your self-approval and detach from external judgment.
Autosuggestions:
“I release the need for others’ approval, I approve of myself.”
“I express myself boldly and authentically.”
“I am not here to please; I am here to shine.”
“What others think of me is none of my business, my truth matters most.”
Fear of Ill Health
Core emotion: Anxiety over sickness, fragility, or aging.
Goal: Reinforce faith in your body’s resilience and divine intelligence.
Autosuggestions:
“My body is strong, wise, and constantly healing.”
“Every cell in me vibrates with energy and vitality.”
“Health is my natural birthright, and I claim it now.”
“I trust my body, it knows exactly how to restore balance.”
Fear of Loss of Love
Core emotion: Abandonment, jealousy, dependency, grief.
Goal: Root love in self-worth, not attachment.
Autosuggestions:
“I am complete, loved, and whole within myself.”
“I radiate love and love flows to me naturally”
“Those who are meant for me are drawn to my light.”
Place your hand on your heart and say and feel "I am love itself."
Fear of Old Age
Core emotion: Fear of decline, loss of relevance or beauty.
Goal: Redefine aging as wisdom, expansion, and spiritual power.
Autosuggestions:
“With every year, my wisdom and impact deepen.”
“I am timeless — my spirit never ages.”
“My purpose grows richer as I evolve.”
“Every season of life brings new power and grace.”
Fear of Death
Core emotion: Fear of the unknown, loss of control.
Goal: Cultivate peace, acceptance, and presence.
Autosuggestions:
“I accept death as part of divine order and live fully now.”
“Each breath is a gift; I cherish this moment.”
“My spirit is eternal and cannot be destroyed.”
“I am grateful for the time I have and at peace with all that comes.”
How to use autosuggestions:
Fears have a hold on us because they are thoughts that are repeated daily. Therefore we need to replace these thoughts with new ones, we are literally reprogramming our brains.
Choose 2 affirmations that negate your fears, you can choose from the above or
create your own. Write them down on paper.
As soon as you wake up you will read them slowly allowed and feel the confidence and courage behind each thing you are saying.
Do the same thing at night before bed. Repetition is the most important thing here so do not let up too soon!
Continue to do this for however long it takes, you have a whole life to live and its worth it to do these things now. Track which fears lose their grip the quickest on you.
Step 3 - Practice visualization to solidify your new belief.
Visualization is the act of closing our eyes and imagining ourselves doing something both in the third person (watching ourselves) and form our own point of view (from our own eyes). Both are very powerful I recommend doing both in that order.
Visualization builds confidence in an act before it is done. Think about it, before we take any action we think and imagine it first. Before we get up to grab some cookies from the kitchen we imagine ourselves doing it first, getting up, opening the cabinet, holding them and how they would taste our mouth salivates and all of a sudden we are up from our chairs and doing that very thing.
Visualizing is a technique used by some of the most skilled people in the world. Check out this video here of the Blue Angels pilots visualizing their flight before embarking on it: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGlJwUHpqVq/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
With that being said, visualize yourself completing that project confidently and with enthusiasm or any other act you wish to accomplish. This can be a quick 2-5 minutes after saying your affirmations out loud.
Step 4- Take Decisive Action
Taking action, and quickly, dismantles fear. Don't think just do. Even if youre wrong, it doesnt matter its the act of doing that we are cultivating. Fear lives on hesitation. The longer we sit in the "what if's" the more fear eats away at us. Fear feeds on indecision. Kill indecision now, just decide and move forward! The goal isn’t to feel fearless — it’s to move while afraid. "I act, therefore I overcome." Every small act of courage rewires your brain to see fear as harmless background noise.
Step 5 — Build Daily Discipline Over Motivation
Motivation is emotional. Discipline is structural. Motivation fluctuates with mood; discipline keeps you moving regardless. When you commit to daily disciplines, reading, meditating, exercising, writing, your confidence grows because you see yourself keeping promises. Your mind starts to see that you are a person not to be messed you, that your word is final.
Discipline creates evidence. Evidence builds trust. Trust dissolves fear.
If you have a goal in mind, create habits and discipline your mind and body to do them no matter how you feel. Fuck how you feel, overcome the "inner bitch". Stop waiting around for "when you feel like it".
Step 6- Mental Hygiene
Once you've got your groove going its every important to continue to shield yourself from outside forces: people and things that negatively influence and bring us back down in fear.
Keep your mind clean from negativity
Limit exposure to fear-based content, gossip, or pessimism.
Surround yourself with people who speak life, not limitation.
Keep your habits consistent
Keep your courage active through daily rituals and discipline.
Replace fear-inducing thoughts with faith-based affirmations immediately.
The Essence
Identify → Reprogram → Repeat → Act NOW → Protect & Maintain.
You’re not “getting rid” of fear — you’re retraining your mind to respond with calm, purpose, and power every single time. Protect your progress by feeding yourself faith daily (affirmations and visualization), starve fear consistently by acting fast, and stay consistent long enough that courage becomes your new default state.
Let's kick fear in the butt and live the beautiful life we are all meant to live.
See you on the other side of fear ✌️.
